We’re just entering the last stages of what has been the healthiest local real estate market in the South Bay in three years. Not since 2011 have we had such steady home appreciation and a high number of homes on the market. If that sounds like good news for both sellers and buyers, that’s because it is.
This past spring and summer 2014, the peak home-buying season of the year, showed the strongest real estate recovery yet since the recession. Buyers are happy, sellers are confident, homes are selling quickly, home value appreciation is steady and slower than in the past…these are all very good things. More buyers are snatching up properties, and more quickly, than last year. This positive momentum is heartening and we expect to see it continuing through 2014 and into 2015.
Just take a look at the way the number of homes for sale in Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Manhattan Beach has increased this past spring and summer months:
There are more homes than ever on the market, and happier sellers than ever before. It’s a great time to be either in the South Bay.
